This year's basketball tournament will be here in Metairie on Saturday March 3rd and Sunday March 4th. There is also an option to buy tickets and attend a Hornet's game that Saturday night. Tickets are $25 and all seats will be in a special Knights of Columbus section. Anyone wishing to play please email or call Shane Collins. Our roster needs to be in the state's hands by February 24th. That is the Friday after Mardi Gras, so time is an issue with his one. Please let Shane know as soon as possible. Ozanam Inn Lunch Service

We have to be there for 1:30pm to get set up, serve at 2:00pm and we will leave by 3:00pm. Some volunteers will be serving food while others will be walking the dining area refilling water glasses. Volunteers must wear long sleeve shirt, long pants and closed toe shoes. No short sleeves, shorts or sandals will be allowed. We are limited to 10 volunteers but anyone wishing to help please call or email me. Shane CollinsI will keep a list once we go over the first 10 and he will schedule future dates. Louisiana State Special Olympics Games
Saturday May 19th 7:30am - 2:30pm
Marquette will have 2 game tents in Olympic town - volunteers needed for 4 hour shift or all day

Marquette will be sponsoring and running two game booths at this summers state games. The event will take place on Saturday May 19th in Hammond on Southeastern's campus. The booths are open for athletes from 9am to 2pm. We will need to be there for 7:30am to decorate, get set up and get our wristbands & t-shirts. Last year we were wrapped up and heading home by 2:30pm. If you would like to help with this year's event please email Shane Collins your name, phone # and t-shirt size as soon as possible. There is some paperwork to fill out and it needs to be submitted by March 1st. Last year we worked in 4 hour shifts, so if you can help a portion of the day please let me know. The 4 hour shifts worked great last year. They do serve lunch and have refreshments at the hospitality tent, so lunch is covered. Any questions please email or call Shane.
